After years as a field superintendent and estimator, Richard Jurowski purchases CJ Woychik Construction Company, renaming the business as RJ Jurowski Construction.
1972Richard Jurowski founded RJJ, built on the principles of quality and pride in craftsmanship. Richard focused on hiring the best in every field to provide the highest level of work across a wide variety of skills and projects.
1972Richard Jurowski passes the business down the family line and moves into an advisor role, as his sons take on the leadership and vision of the company.
1998Benjamin Sylla is added as a principle as the company moves into the future.
2015RJJ is still family owned, overseen by Richard's sons Greg, Bill and Randy. Ben Sylla has also joined the ownership team as an equal partner. The company is known for its expertise and superior craftsmanship on projects throughout the region, always taking the extra step to ensure quality.
2016Greg Jurowski unexpectedly passed in 2018. Greg's work ethic and customer relations have left a lasting impact on the RJJ team/brand and he will be forever missed. In 2019 Randy Jurowski retired after 42 year of service with RJ Jurowski. Finally, in 2021, founder Dick Jurowski passed away at the age of 91. Dick's work ethic is often a topic of conversation at company outings, with the story of him at 71 years old laying 12" concrete block being the favorite story to tell.
2018-2020On January 1, 2020, Bill Jurowski, President/CE0 and Ben Sylla, VP/COO transition into expanded leadership roles as owners of R. J. Jurowski Construction. Bill and Ben have more than 50 years of combined experience with RJJ and have continued to carry on the tradition of core family values that clients have come to know over the past 50 years. R. J. Jurowski Construction, Inc. continues the tradition of quality, integrity, hard-work, client satisfaction, and employee dedication and development started by Richard in 1972. Bill and Ben strive to carry on these traditions and continue the success story and business development into the future.
2020March 7, 2022, marks the 50th Anniversary of RJ Jurowski.
