Ben Sylla joined RJJ in 2005, and became a partner in 2015. His background includes a Bachelor
of Science in Construction Management from UW-Stout and time as a carpenter apprentice. Ben
followed his dad to RJJ, who was a bricklayer here for over 40 years. "I owe almost all of
my success in my life, and especially the construction industry, to the values, experience
and work ethic he instilled in me at a very young age."
Those values contribute to the 'family' atmosphere, which allows us to be personally vested in
clients and employees. Ben appreciates that at RJJ, everyone has an important stake in every
project from start to finish. "I think the most important thing that sets us apart is the integrity."
Outside of work, Ben enjoys spending time with his family in the outdoors. He, his wife Emily,
and their three children and two dogs spend summer weekends on the Mississippi River or out
at the farm working on food plots and gardening. Ben loves taking his kids out hunting for
whitetails in the fall. All of this gets fit in between being an officer in the fire department
just down the road in Independence, Wis. and being active in his church and the Western Wisconsin community.
"People here are very family and community oriented and all pull together to lend a hand
when needed. I was born and raised in Independence and would be proud to stay here for my lifetime."
